Students’ mind-boggling projects such the Smart Extension Board, Smart Bin, Gesture Music Player, Tractor Robot and Pick ‘n’ Place Robot were attracting visitors to the Manav Rachna booth which was done up with the utmost elegance and skill. What was most noteworthy was the fact that there were visitors of all age groups at the Mela stall who may have come looking for arts, crafts and textiles but were pleasantly surprised at the plethora of projects displayed at the stall. Innovative projects like Driving Simulator, Posture Correction System, Smart Bin, Gaming Gun, Gesture based Music player, Weather Station, Tractor Robot, Pick & Place Robot were on display at the Exhibition. The Staff and Students of MREI were available at the Manav Rachna stall to share their knowledge and technology behind these innovations with the visitors. It was however the Smart Bin—which has the ability to say ‘thank you’ every time garbage is thrown—that attracted the greatest interest. Said one of the enthusiastic students at the Stall, “We would be keen to supply the projects being displayed should visitors evince an interest in acquiring them. What’s more, they can also be customized as per their demand and requirements. The displayed projects were created at the Manav Rachna Innovation and Incubation Centre, a seminal initiative encouraging students to bring their pioneering ideas to the forefront by providing them with the wherewithal for research on a 24X7 basis. The Centre has been inculcating among students the spirit of innovation, inspiring them to create products that are as unique as they are technology-driven with benefits that are bound to impact the world at large.
