In the first-ever Interaction Meeting between IMA Office Bearers and Doctor Parliamentarians, it was resolved that the Doctor Members of Parliament and IMA will work together to come out with community-friendly policies and find solutions to issues like shortage of doctors in the rural areas and rising incidents of violence against the medical profession.ntroducing the concept Dr S S Agarwal, National President IMA said, “The aim of this initiative is to make affordable, accessible and accountable quality and safe health care to the remotest areas of the country. IMA has also appealed to all its 2.75 lakh members to provide free antenatal consultation to women on the 9th of every month”.Adding to this, the Coordinator of the Doctor Parliamentarian Forum Dr Sanjay Jaiswal said, “All the doctor parliamentarians across the party have decided to work together in forming health-friendly policies.”Padma Shri Awardee and Honorary Secretary General, IMA, Dr K K Aggarwal said, “Both members of parliament and IMA represent the collective consciousness of all the doctors, and they both have a duty towards not only the public but also the medical profession.Members of Parliament who attended the meeting include, Dr Dharam Vira Gandhi, Dr K.
