Faridabad(Standard News/Manoj Bhardwaj)…Taking forward the vision to provide Quality Education to every child, Faridabad Navchetna Trust on 23rd May organisedan Interactive Session Programme for the Heads of 27 Schools that have been adopted by Faridabad Navchetna Trust at ManavRachna Campus. The 27 Heads of the Government Schools were invited to participate and discuss on the need to improve the education system and in that the event focusedupon the needs of the students for their overall holistic development. In his welcome address,Dr N.C. Wadhwa, Vice-Chancellor, MRIUsaid, “We believe in taking the legacy forward of Dr. O.P.Bhallato serve societythrough education.” Speaking at length about the need to make the education system more robust, he said, “We are living in a time where there’s a need for skill-based knowledge. A lot of our neighbouringcountries who were behind us even two decades ago, are now ahead of us. The credit goes to theirskill-based knowledge economy.Hence, skill-based education is required to make India emerge as a stronger economy. By the year 2030, India can provide more workforce in comparison to China and the US if we train our students well. We must not lose the opportunity to exploit this situation. And this can only happen if we provide a more conducive environment for both learning and eaching.”Meanwhile, eminent educationist and former Air Force Sq. Ldr (Retd) ShriYudhBir Singh Guliyaalso emphasized on the quality of education stating, “The teachers are our nation builders. The education has to be imparted in the formative years of the childand there has to be a strong connectivity between a teacher and a child.”Mr. Guliya also spoke at length on the changes required in the ‘Right to Education Act’ (RTE 2009).
