Faridabad(standard news/manoj bhardwaj)….Skilling of freshers and youth of Faridabad and adjoining Rural Area and Apprenticeship Training will get a boost and enhance the availability of skilled employable youth as per the schemes and plans of Deptt. of Skill Development, Govt. of India drawn out in consultation with Industry stake holders and supported by World Bank – said Mr. J.P. Malhotra, President Haryana State Productivity Council. This is part of Industry Apprenticeship Initiative for skills strengthening.At a recent meeting amongst the Directorate of Apprenticeship, World Bank and HSPC, President Mr. J.P. Malhotra joined by Sh. R.P. Meena, Director RDAT Faridabad, the nuts and bolts of the proposed structure of skilling youth and representatives of MSMEs were discussed at length. Based on acceptance of the proposal, a facilitation centre would be set up and operated from HSPC Office wherein the youth on one part and MSMEs on the other part would be provided a platform to join hands for creating and making available purposeful employable youth.With the help of Deptt. of Industries, Govt. of Haryana, local ITI for formal basic training and Industrial establishment for on the job training would form the backbone of skilling infrastructure. To begin with, it is envisaged to register 500 MSMEs of Faridabad, Palwal and adjoining areas, popularize the scheme and exploit Training Infrastructure at local GITIs. The project would be funded by World Bank and the facilitation centre monitored by State Govt., RDAT has proposed to set up 100 such centres in India.To take matter forward Ms. Jutta Franz, Ms. Megha Sharma, accompanied by Dy. Director RDAT Sh. Yogesh Bangia had visited HSPC for detailed discussions with President Mr. J.P. Malhotra accompanied by Executive Director Mr. P.K. Singh. Haryana State Productivity Council will connect the prospective employees and employers for training on agreed curriculum, add Trades which are not available in ITIs, design and develop new syllabus if required. The challenge to be addressed by all concerned remains the availability of willing youth who aspire to be trained/skilled and work in an MSME. Mr. J.P. Malhotra assured the cooperation of all the industry associations of Faridabad to extend cooperation for futuristic scheme which is bound to be beneficial and advantageous for MSMEs of Faridabad and adjoining Rural Area.
